Pencil Drought
Return to gallery
I’m working on a Ghostbusters commission for a client now, it’s looking to be a pretty fun piece so far.
I noticed today my supply of Tuscan Red color pencils, the ones I draw all my pencil studies with has dwindled down to two pencils, yikes!!! This has put me into a minor panic, since I have to order these little babies from overseas and for whatever reason, they seem to be shipped on a ‘slow boat from china’. I’m hoping they show up before I need to start the next piece.
I learned a long time ago that as soon as you get hooked on a specific pencil or brush they’re sure to stop making it and that’s just what’s happened with these darn pencils. They use to be everywhere and now there’s like two places I can get them.
I just can’t bring myself to go back to graphite though. I’ve tried a couple of times, and no matter how convenient it would be to just grab a handful of pencils at the grocery store when I need em, I just can’t do.
