Hard as a coffin nail is a reference from the movie Snatch. If you’ve seen it you’ll know what it means, if you haven’t go rent it, cause I love this flick. The whole things just a fun ride from beginning to end, I highly recommend it.
I was listening to an interview with the director Guy Ritchie, he said the biggest criticism of the film was that it was too similar to his first movie, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. His Latest movie was Rock-n-Rolla and its a lot like his two earlier films. He knows how to make a cool movie and he does it again and again, nothing wrong with that.
Lets face it, nobody really wants to see a director like Steven Spielberg do The Color Purple, (personally I would of rather had a kick ass Jaws sequel, instead of the lame one somebody else did) Nobody wanted to see George Lucas abandon the Star Wars movies and then be a co-writer on Radio Land Murders. Nobody was waiting for Sylvester Stallone to follow up Rambo, First Blood with Rhinestone (what the ?) Nobody, and I mean nobody wanted to see Arnold Schwarzenegger pregnant in Junior. (Ughh)
Nope, nothing wrong with sticking to what your good at.
